Ronald Mesia

Visiting Lecturer, Department of Marketing

With 80% of products being made outside the United States, managing global supply chains efficiently is critical. Hear Dr. Mesia explain how his research on Lean and Six Sigma can help companies reduce costs at each stage of their supply chain.

Ronald Mesia is now a visiting lecturer in the Department of Marketing.

His areas of expertise are supply chain management and international trade and logistics.

His most recent refereed journal articles are titled “Economic determinants of demand for maquiladora exports to the U.S.: an empirical examination” in Journal of Global Business Issues and “Key performance measurement and lean enterprise initiatives impact on defense contracts” in the International Journal of Accounting Information Science and Leadership.

Dr. Mesia has held corporate positions at Nortel Networks, Microsoft, AeroThrust, and Federal Express.

He holds two degrees from Nova Southeastern University’s Huizenga School of Business, Fort Lauderdale, Florida: a DBA in international business administration and a Masters of International Business Administration. He earned a Master of Science in operations research from the Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois. He also earned a degree in industrial engineering from Federico Villarreal University in Lima, Peru.
